## HEY!
My name is Matt and I'm currently exploring my passion for cooking! Although I only really started to dive deep into the culinary world about a year ago, my love for food and cooking started from my mom. She made home cooked meals almost everyday growing up, and it's only inspired me to do the same. There isn't any specific genre I enjoy cooking the most, to be honest I love cooking anything and everything. I do, however, really enjoy the challenge of making as much food from scratch as possible. Whether it be bread, pasta, condiments, or anything else you would typically buy off the shelf - it really gives me a deeper appreciation for the work that goes into good food. I really enjoy learning about different cuisines and cultures through their techniques.
## What is this?
I guess you could say it's some kind of a combination of a website, blog, and diary all in one. But I think where this platform differs from other online food blogs and recipe websites is that this is going to be a live documentation of my food journal. Often times, I only post the highlights on Instagram, and never really show all the failures and learning processes that it took to make something I'm happy with.
I'm going to be trying make new foods - some good, some bad. I will reiterate on dishes I've already made in the past in attempt to master them or simply make them better. The format of my entries will be fairly raw. I will leave notes that will point to things I did well, things I did poorly, and things I can improve on. Hopefully you and I both can learn from this open ended process.
